I prepare a desert Mod and I need a Image. a British desert Infantry in 1940 please HELP. :(

Normalement les uniformes britanniques entre 1940 et 1941-42 sont exactement les même. :)

Je sais qu'il n'y a pas sur cette page de "vrai" uniforme anglais (mais autralien)... Mais ça pourra te servir comme base pour le reste.
Je vais essayer de voir si il y a de vrais images d'infanterie britanniques en 40... mais je ne promet rien. <_<

En attendant, je vais immédiatement étoffer les mods de blindés britanniques sur cette périodes. ca pourra te servir. :)

Normally british uniforms between 1940 and 1941-1942 are exactly the same.

You can found it there in the mods link :

I know there's no "true" british uniforms (but australians) ... but it could be a base to begin. I'll try to found some true british infantry images for 1940 ... but I can't promise anything.

Meanwhile I'll stuff british armored mods for this time, it could help you.

My mod is Operation Compass has a five o six sceneries and a lot of "whath if" covering the period to 9 Desembre 1940 to 17 January 1941 a GC Incluyed. The limited map of Tobruck'41 don't posible the important scenary of Beda Fomm but really the italians for this date be a defeated. the mod has a very advanced and only I refine the scenaries and details ;)

this is the provisional list of scenaries: ;)

1.the five Days Raid. this Scenary covering the Fall of Camps in Egipt and the Capture of the Sidi Barrani and Buq Buq for the Wesren Desert Force (medium Scen.)

2 Solum-Capuzzo. this Scenary simuled the Bauptisme of fire of the 6th Australian Divison and the first steps for the capture of Bardia into the Libia. (small Scen.)

3.Bergonzoli's Army. this scenry covering the capture of the fortificied small town of Bardia and yours 45.000 defenders for the 6th Australiand Division-7th Royal Tank Regiment (medium Scen).

4.The Fall of Tobruk. covering the capture of the important harbour of Tobruk and yours defenses. (medium Scen.)

5. Mecilli. the first serius Tank encounter of the campaign betwen babini's brigade and elements of 7th armaured division (Small Scen).

6. Operation Compass Grand Campaign covering the Campaign 09 Dec-26 Jan 1941 (Large Scen.)

this is a provisional list and can has a Changes <_<

this campaing is product of several investigation months and is very I historical but I need a Testers for the Scenaries :)

It's look very exciting. I have readen recently a book on this campaign with a rehabilitation of the italian army. Its purely a war of movement with very interesting strategic situations to solve. I am curious to see your scenarios and to play with them.

I have just acquired this afternoon a book published in 2000 by Osprey Military called Operation Compass written by J Latimer and J Laurier. It gives a very comprenhensive overlook on this forgotten campaign made on both sides with old fashioned materials. Nevertheless the Italian invaded Egypt going as far as Sidi Barrani. Wawell launched a counterattack under the name Operation Compass in December 1940..
He take Tobrouk and reached Benghazi and Beda Fomm in January 1941.
In February Rommel landed in Africa. For a lot of books and historians the north african war starts from the Rommel's arrival.
Thank you for your work on a forgotten campaign which looks very mobile, open and interesting. I am curious to see your scenaries.

You can put me on your list of scenarios testers. For pictures of infantrymen I am sure that Laurent has something in his inventory.

Oui Laurent Dan est la recherche d'images de soldats britanniques et italiens de 1940 début 1941 sur le front égyptien et lybien. As tu cela dans tes stocks ?

Good choice ;) it's a good book of Osprey if you like the campaigm buy the Irtalian army 1940-43 Africa teathre and the british Army 1939-45 middle east of the Osprey series Mne -at-arms, other good book is a Beda Fomm the Classic victory.
Now I am working about the units arts the Italians are now finished the english are incompleted because of I need images of infantry men.

Merci m.Debrand but the Italian infantry be a finished of a moment I need British infantry men only. british Tanks be a finished and only need a image o a Morris CS9. the Italians Tanks... the original mod for a Tobnruk'41 have two images of the M11/39 and M13/40 but don't like me I need a image of M11/39 with desert Makings of this is period (1940). the Australians finish totally (thanks Laurent for yours maravellous mediterranean images :) ) and the Hindú images only need a one infantry men.

my objective is whath the images mod be a difernt of the Tobruk'41

I send you the scenaries when are finished I will need suggestions ;)

my mod progressing, the first and second sceneries is totally finished and I have a good news.the first scenarie is a started a the capture of the small city of Sollum in september 1940 is a small scenariy but is a good begining of the campaign.

the new list of scenaries is:
