Seul queria faire une question pour tous les gens de Campaigns-France et obtenir des opinions sur un avenir scénario. ;-)
Sérieuse faisable un scénario sur la France 1940 avec l'actuelle carte de Bulge'44 ? :-?

Well it's just my opinion but the bulge 44 is very limited for a scenario over France 40. I can't believe that the french can't do anything to stop the german's tide.
May be with a larger map that can be done.... and only if some quality troops are there.
I've worked on this scenario before but I think that's isn't interresting for the allied side. Only for maso player's on allied side and sado players on german side :lol:
Don't waste your time even if the construction of the oob is interresting.

On manque tout de même de matière...au niveau de la carte.
Nous avons tout de même la zone de franchissement de la 7.Panzer au nord de Dinant
entre Yvoir et Anhée (non indiquée sur la carte) ainsi que la zone de la 5.Panzer.

Nous avons de la place pour les combats des DLC de la IXème Armée ainsi que pour les belges du Groupement K.

Si tu veux je peux te donner un coup de main pour monter ce projet.

Les combats "retardateurs" du mois de mai 1940....pour sado-maso...

il y a certainement des batailles qui vallent la peine d'être joué des deux cotés, voir même chaud du coté allemand, comme ce fut parfois le cas dans la premiere semaine de Barbarossa en Juin 1941, avec des contres attaques blindées localisées. mais je ne sais pas si le franchissement des ardennes à été l'occasion d'apres combats au premier jour des hostilités en france.

on pourrait avoir le combat de chars de Flavion entre la 5e Pz et la 1ere DCR le 15 mai ....
d'autres exemples sont envisageables : le combat de Bodange ou de Stonne mais ce sont vraiment des actions trop localisées pour donner un scenario jouable : à chaque ce serait l'affaire de qq tours et d'un combat entre qq bataillons au mieux ...

enfin il y a forcement à faire avec la carte de Bulge (que je ne connais pas) mais pas trop dans le genre contre attaque ...

Bodange ou Stonne? C'est pour CMAK ou spwaw, trop petit, une poignée de chasseurs ardennais enfermés dans un bunker attqués par une ou deux cies allemandes...

Il manque Sedan je crois sur la carte Bulge...

je suis d'accord bebert, mais c'etait pour repondre à nicolas qui cherchait des batailles "chaudes coté allemand" ...

j'ai regardé de plus prés, il n'y a rien d'interessant à se mettre sous la dent entre Bastogne et Houffalize : une poignée de chasseurs ardennais qui met qq obstacles sur les routes et file avant l'arrivée des chars ...

les combats ne prennent de l'ampleur que pour le franchissement de la Meuse et au delà, soit hors carte de Bulge'44.

unfortunately, the map of Bulge'44 is not suitable for a game in 1940 : the action took place on the east side of the river Meuse in 44 and most of it on the west side in 40...

you'll have to extend the map. I don't know if it is possible or not ... I believe it has been done for "Smolensk revised" ....so ...

But the retardant combats with the Belgian army he can to simulate and the advances of both DLC and the Spahis of the 9 Armée in the Ardenas for finally to cross the Mosa for Dinant, Sedan or for where the player wanted. What is ideal serious to extend the map 30 km in the east and 30 km in the north but I do not have idea as it is done of that the first 5 days he can to do.

I believe that serious interesting if besides some what if were added as for example that the fort of Eben Emael not had Fall or the DCR could be used to attack in the Ardenas...etc not?

I guess a what-fi could be interesting because if it is only historical scenario on this area it would be too hard to find a player on the allied side... You would find 7 Panzer divisions whitout counting the infantry against some weak DLC and second rate infantry...

A good "what if" could be to have the French 9th Army reinforced by the 7th Army (who wouldn't go in Holland but stay as strategic reserve as intended originally and would try to stop the German advance).
One or two DCR could be involved too... To be historical the 3rd (coming from the south) and 1st (coming from the West) could be used.

and perhaps a DCR that rest in the peaceful mountain of Ardennes. Somewhat very similar of Bulge 44, but with French troops ! (without snow) :-D

Then we have a map that covers all the ardennes and an important part of the mosa, we have Lieja with their important post Forts defended by the 3rd Corps Belgian, the ardenas at first defended by the Chasseurs Ardennais. Namur-Gembloux tambien defended for the rest of the VII Corps Belgian and later with part of the 1st French Army, all the 9 French Army defending the meuse and part of the 2st French Army in the area of Sedan against that if the best units of the German Army attacking for the Ardenness; the player can associated to choose in to stop the Germans in one sketches deeper than that account was done by historically with less means but I think that I have two DLC's, a DCR, a Btn of Tanks, a Brigade of Spahis motorized and he can to include perfectly the units motorized of the 1st French Army and of the 2nd French Army the only What If that he have to include serious that Fort Eben-Emael had not fallen and the German troops had not been able to cross the channel Albert to centralize the accion in the part of map. that there is a Long campaign of 100 turns available in Bulge'44 obviously not serious or more because serious impossible to gain but a campaign of 70-80 turns serious feasible.

Smolensk is possibly one of the best games of the series and the armored units are more bad ones quite a lot than the French

Well, it can be an interresting "What if'". Finally, we will have a panzer campaign in France, with French units ! :-)
