Kursk Historical Campaign revised by Michael Smith
This should be a classic campaign , I have attempted to revise it without changing any unit placements or damage any of the historical research that has already gone into the game here is a revised Kursk Campaign to "share and enjoy"
No units were removed or added .Anyone playing DIR or RBWS will feel at home with the unit capabilities and PDT balance .
MAP
Made the defences better and minefields tougher
OOB
Main points here ...
Introduced revised values for the oob as developed for Decision in Russia .Massive improvement to AT gun capability including morale adjustments . Improved some Russian units morale .
Improved Russian air capability ( and some German ) and some units morale
Reduced the Panthers to C morale ( although the fire values are higher this will better achieve the breakdown effect , these units were far too good before ) .
AA units ( Russian 37mm and Berman 20mm only ) have one hex further range to simulate better the spread of these units over the units they cover instead of adding the one hex range to HQ units ( DIR AND RBWS ) , many units AA capability reduced .
PDT
New higher values for terrain , ranged fire etc , reduced air interception a little , reduced artillery set up a little, introduced stockpiling and stock piled fire values , reduced axis recovery to 5% ( from 6 )
SUPPLY
Revised the supply rules allowing for the very high levels of supply built up but also the vast usage by both sides in a short time ( mainly against the Germans ) .
FIXED UNITS
Eliminate many of the releases for the Russian , which allow for the Germans to shuffle the attack along the line to gain an advantage but left in the bigger political decision releases .
The files will shortly be sent to SG and Glenn , any suggestions for a version 2 are 100% welcome
